Each class will have four sections with an ideal lower student teacher ratio, following the pedagogy in consonance with the student focussed Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) curriculum set by the CBSE. There are also plans to include the International Baccalaureate curriculum in the subsequent phase.
The curriculum of the school will be based on the modern methods of the teaching of experiential, conceptual and contextual learning. It will consist of five essential elements – concepts, knowledge, skills, attitudes and application. The teaching for the pre-primary school will follow the Montessori format for the complete development of the child to prepare him for life’s rich experiences.
The method combines scientific observation with a practical approach, based on discovered laws of development of the mind and body of the child. It recognizes the child’s inner, natural path and understands that children have an instinctive tendency to evolve through spontaneous experiences in the environment.
In grade I & II, we focus on the development of oral as well as written expression, creative writing, critical thinking and mathematical skills. The teaching- learning process at this level is interactive and a conscious effort is made to integrate subjects, thus helping children to move from the known to explore the unknown.
